5/3/07 - Some readers may be aware of The Cox Family, if you listen to The Bluegrass Channel on  XM radio, or if you're one of those who
read songwriter credits on CD's, who will recognize the name Sidney Cox from Alan Jackson's latest CD "Like Red On A Rose", where he
authored Alan's most awesome song on that CD, "Had It Not Been You". I have corresponded a few times with Sidney, a very friendly sort. I
have hopes of meeting with him and his family, if he is agreeable to it, sometime in the near future. Along with Mary Chapin Carpenter,Don
Henley, Mindy Smith, Sarah Siskind, and Ron Block, Sidney is one of the songwriters most respected by me.
3/31-07 - Started my own page on American Idol Underground - please check it out as it develops, and vote!! idolunderground.com/artpriebe
June 21-24, 2007: Went to Telluride, Colorado for the Bluegrass Festival - it was awesome!!! Saw Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Bela Fleck,
Chris Thile, Peter Rowan, and many other great acts. Spent 4 days in the High Rockies, and learned a lot.

Evans and John Pennell on my guitar, attended songwriting sessions by hit songwriter Jerry Vandiver, worked on staff at Nashville Star
Search, attended Bleugrass Jam Night at the Station Inn a couple of times - great little place, the world headquarters for bluegrass!!

12-31-07 I am planning on going to Nashville again starting on April 18th, length of stay this time undetermined yet. I know gas prices will
be sky-high, but it will be worth it.
2-21-08: Well, it's off to Nashville again on April 16th! I will spend my 50th birthday there. Going to see various publishers and artists, also
going to the Alison Krauss/Robert Plant concert in Chattanooga on the 23rd - sure looking forward to that!!! Will play at the writers night at
the Commodore Lounge on the 22nd, and will be at other writers nights and open mics around town all the rest of April and early May. Also
planning to meet with some potential co-writers. Wish me luck!!!
April 23rd, 2008- saw Alison Krauss and Robert Plant in Chattanooga, it was awesome!!! And what a pretty area of the country too, as
it turns out Nashville is not the prettiest place in Tennessee. The auditorium there did not have the best acoustics, but I enjoyed the
concert immensely anyway!!
June 28th, 2008 - Saw Alison Krauss and Robert Plant again in Lake Tahoe at Harvey's - got a very good seat. I saw people filming the
concert, I hope a DVD comes out!

February 2nd, 2009 - Just to let my friends know, I have been in contact for some time now with an experienced acoustic producer in
Nashville, Jimbo Sales, and together we are planning a full recording session, possibly of 12 songs (depending on the budget!!)
beginning March 23rd. This would be my first professionally-produced record as opposed to the home recordings I have produced so
far. There is also a good possibility that some well-known Nashville musicians might be involved in the session. Can't name any names
at this time, but it should prove to be VERY exciting. Stay tuned for updates!!
May 19th, 2009 - I just returned from 6 weeks in Nashville, and have completed a gorgeous 15-song recording project!!!! The title of
the CD is "When You Smile", and the set release date will be July 23rd. Production is not yet complete, nor are the graphics portion
of the project, but everything is on fast track. With awesome musicians and backup singers, and a really great vocal by Stacy Grubb
on a duet, and an awesome producer, and (not bragging, just relaying comments made by the musicians themselves and others who
have heard the project) some pretty good songs, I hope this recording will reach the ears and hearts of some very special people.
April  18th, 2009 - Got to meet Rhonda Vincent!! What a nice gal!
